Here's the thing. I like Luke Skywalker. Always have. The most interesting story in Star Wars, to me, is the story of Luke Skywalker.
Sure. Looking forward to Luke's mid-life crisis Ferrari. / New @starwars trilogy could pick up with Luke in middle agetotalfilm.com/news/new-star-…

Honestly, I think the world needs Luke Skywalker back. He was a great kid. I mean, he was a mess, and a lousy Jedi. But he was great.

There's more to Luke's story to be told. He faced an interesting dilemma post-ROTJ. His whole youth, he just wanted adventure, when...

Little did Luke realize his whole life was being manipulated by an old man, a space frog and their ghosts to kill his father. And now...

Though he technically neither killed his father nor the Emperor, getting his ass kicked by said Emperor did facilitate his dad's redemption.

So Luke Skywalker is the Hero of the Republic and the Last Jedi, but now there's no purpose to his life. It all kind of sucks, really.

Who is Luke Skywalker if he no longer has to kill his father and save the galaxy? Existential.

"Adventure, excitement, a Jedi craves not these things." If I were Luke, I'd say, fuck that. Go back to fun swashbuckling around the galaxy.

Luke Skywalker's not a guy who should sit around Coruscant building a New Republic. He's an uneducated moisture farmer with superpowers.
— John Orquiola (@BackoftheHead) November 1, 2012
He's a Jedi Knight who dresses like a Sith Lord with a robot hand, an R2 unit and an X-Wing. Luke should be out there having adventures.

Luke is also the last person who'd be interested in founding a Jedi Academy. He never even finished Jedi School. Plenty of time for that.

Luke should do what he does best: Trying to do good, things fouling up, and having to improvise his way out of trouble. That's @starwars.
